Log Search Function

The log search function searches specific logs from logs displayed in the Analyze Window.
In the Log Search tab of both Ch Log and Analyze views, you can use:

  • Time Search
  • Log Search
  • Label Search

Sets timestamp used by Time Search.
+/- is selected by pull-down menu. Timestamp value can be changed by direct input or spin button.
Search buttonExecutes Time Search.
Cursor in log display area moves to the matched log.
Log SearchSearch target list
(Area 2)
Displays Log Search conditions configured in Search Setting dialog.
Edit buttonOpens Search Setting dialog to configure Log Search conditions.
Scroll Right buttonScrolls Log Search target list to the right.
Scroll Left buttonScrolls Log Search target list to the left.
Backward buttonSearches upward from current cursor position and moves cursor to first matched log.
Forward buttonSearches downward from current cursor position and moves cursor to first matched log.
Label SearchLabel
(Area 3)
Sets target label for Label Search.
Pull-down options include all labels registered in Label Filter Window.
Backward buttonSearches upward from current cursor position and moves cursor to first matched label log.
Forward buttonSearches downward from current cursor position and moves cursor to first matched label log.

Time Search Procedure

Time Search finds logs by configured timestamp.

  1. Set target timestamp
    Set target timestamp in TimeStamp under Time Search.
    Timestamp value can be changed by direct input or spin button. If timestamp offset display is enabled, sign of offset value can be selected from pull-down.

  1. Execute search
    Click Search button. Cursor moves to log at timestamp set in step 1.

If multiple logs have the target timestamp, cursor moves to the one with the smallest channel number.
If no log has the exact timestamp, cursor moves to the closest timestamp that does not exceed the target value. If target timestamp is beyond the last log timestamp, the dialog below appears (cursor does not move).

Log Search Procedure

Log Search finds logs by conditions such as protocol, ID, and data.

  1. Set target conditions
    Click Edit in Log Search area. Search Setting dialog appears and you can configure conditions.

For Search Setting details, refer to Trigger Setting dialog description. (Title is different, operation is the same.)

  1. Execute search
    To search upward, click Backward. To search downward, click Forward. Cursor moves to first log matching conditions from step 1.

If no log matches conditions from step 1, the dialog below appears (cursor does not move).

Label Search Procedure

Label Search finds logs by labels configured in Label Filter Window.

This procedure assumes labels are already configured in Label Filter Window.

  1. Set target label
    In Label under Time Search, select target label from pull-down menu.

  1. Execute search
    To search upward, click Backward. To search downward, click Forward. Cursor moves to first log with label selected in step 1.

If no log exists for label set in step 1, the dialog below appears (cursor does not move).
