Feature Overview
This product provides the following functions.
MicroPeckerX DIO/AD License
| Function | Overview |
|---|---|
| Monitoring | Monitor DIO signals and AD conversion data in real time. ・Monitor period: 1 ms–60,000 ms (DIO), 0.1 ms–1,000 ms (AD) ・Input voltage range: DIO 0–3.3 V, AD 0–5 V / 15 V / 40 V (selectable) ・Data output: On-screen display (up to 100,000 records), file export (CSV / hexadecimal) ・Trigger-controlled log start/stop (Free Run / Start Trigger / Stop Trigger) ・Condition settings (label assignment, filtering, Lo/Hi transition detection, wildcard support) |
| Analysis | Load and analyze recorded log data in multiple formats. ・Text (CSV), A/D conversion data (upcoming physical value conversion support) ・Automatic / manual log loading ・Data search (value conditions, trigger conditions, label filters) ・Filter view (filter by DIO label or AD value) ・Channel log merge function |
| Log Management | Manage large data logs efficiently. ・Log splitting: File size (1 MB–4095 MB), record count (100–2,500,000 rows), timer (1 sec–3600 sec) ・Output: File export, on-screen display ・Format: Text (CSV), hexadecimal export, A/D data export |
| Accuracy / Resolution | ・Digital I/O: Hi/Lo detection, pull-up / pull-down configuration, output modes (open-drain / push-pull) ・Analog input: 12-bit resolution, ±17.5 mV accuracy, no filter (standard noise tolerance) |
System Configuration Diagram
Example System Layout
The following example shows a typical system.
| Device | Notes |
|---|---|
| Windows PC | Used to configure monitoring conditions and run the GUI application that displays DIO/AD monitor data. |
| Installer | Required when installing or upgrading the software (GUI application and USB driver). |
| MicroPeckerX device | Connect to the PC with a USB cable and to the DIO/AD monitor points with monitor cables. When using multiple devices, connect them with the sync cable. |
| Monitor cables | Cables used to connect the MicroPeckerX device to DIO/AD monitor points. |
| USB cable | Cable for connecting the MicroPeckerX device to the PC (USB Type A–micro B, USB 2.0 compliant). |
| Sync cable | Cable for synchronizing multiple MicroPeckerX devices. |
Prepare monitor cables yourself according to the “D-sub connector pin assignment.”

[*1]: On PCs with power-saving features, configure settings so that the PC does not enter sleep, stop the hard disk, or throttle the CPU while using this product.
[*2]: Virtualized environments are not supported.
[*3]: Secure enough free disk space for long monitoring sessions.
[*4]: If you use an external USB hub, choose a self-powered model and supply external power before connecting. The device may not work or may become unstable with a bus-powered hub.
Terminology
Definitions of terms used in this document are provided below.
| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| LIN | Abbreviation for Local Interconnect Network. A communication protocol developed to reduce the cost of in-vehicle networks. Defined as the international standard ISO 17987. |
| DIO | Abbreviation for Digital Input/Output. Electrical signals required to detect external states using two discrete values, ON (1) and OFF (0). |
| A/D | Abbreviation for Analog/Digital. Conversion of analog signals to digital signals. This product converts voltage values to digital data. |
| MicroPeckerX | Hardware system equipped with one LIN channel and one DIO/AD channel, used with this application. |
| Ch | Abbreviation for Channel. Refers to a physical or logical communication path such as a LIN bus. MicroPeckerX can use multiple channels (for example, Ch1-1, Ch2-1) to send and receive data independently. |
| Monitoring | Real-time display of data acquired from LIN buses and other sources in the GUI application. |
| Logging | Automatic saving of acquired data from LIN buses and other sources to the specified PC folder in text (.csv) format. |
| Physical value | The actual value used in operation. Calculated as “signal value × resolution + offset” or “(signal value + offset) × resolution.” |
| Signal value | Raw, unconverted data stored in the response section of a LIN frame. |
| Log playback | Function for replaying and reproducing the contents of a captured log file. |
