Purpose of This Manual​

This manual is the user guide for Sunny License Manager (the license management tool). It explains how to register licenses to activate MicroPeckerX products and how to operate the license management tool.

How to Use This Manual​

• Each chapter explains installation, startup, license registration, and error handling, along with actual screen captures and button names.

Terminology​

This section defines the terminology used in this manual.

Term	Description
MicroPeckerX	A collective term for hardware systems equipped with an in-vehicle communication interface. Used together with applications for data acquisition, analysis, and more.
License	The usage right that activates MicroPeckerX product features. The range of functions and expiration are determined by the licenses registered to the MicroPeckerX main unit.
License File	A text file that stores the information required to activate MicroPeckerX product features. It can only be used with the main unit whose serial number matches the one specified when the license was issued. Sunny License Manager is used to register the license.
Sunny License Manager	A Windows application for registering and managing various MicroPeckerX licenses on the main unit. Supports adding, deleting, and checking license expiration dates.
License Holder	Refers to the MicroPeckerX main unit that Sunny License Manager currently recognizes. You can select the target device from a pull-down list when multiple units are connected.
Standard License	The license that activates the functions provided as standard on the MicroPeckerX main unit.
Extension License	The license that activates additional functions or paid options.
Lock Type	Indicates which main unit (device) the license is bound to. Currently only "PeckerX" (MicroPeckerX format) is available.
Term Type	The type of license validity period: limited-term (Term) or perpetual (Permanent).
.snylic File	The file extension for license files. Used when registering licenses from Sunny License Manager.
Delete Expired License	A function that removes licenses whose validity period has expired from the main unit. When you register a new license and expired licenses are present, you are prompted automatically.
Write License	A function that registers (writes) a license file to the main unit.
