Purpose of This Manual

This manual describes how to use the MicroPeckerX Config Converter plug-in.
By using this product, you can import MicroPecker configuration files or DBC files and convert them into configuration files for MicroPeckerX.


How to Use This Manual

Each chapter explains the product overview and operation procedures together with screenshots and button labels from the actual application.

Terminology

The terms used in this manual are explained below.

TermDescription
CANAbbreviation for Controller Area Network.
A communication protocol developed for in-vehicle networks and defined as the international standard ISO 11898.
CAN FDAbbreviation for CAN with Flexible Data-rate.
An extension of CAN that enables higher-speed and larger-volume data communication. Standardized as ISO 11898-1:2015.
LINAbbreviation for Local Interconnect Network.
A communication protocol developed to reduce the cost of in-vehicle networks. Defined as the international standard ISO 17987.
MicroPeckerXCollective name for hardware systems equipped with in-vehicle communication interfaces. Used together with applications for data acquisition, analysis, and more.
MicroPeckerCollective name for hardware systems equipped with in-vehicle communication interfaces. MicroPeckerX is the successor to this system.
DBC fileShort for Database Container file.
An ASCII text-based format developed by Vector Informatik GmbH that defines CAN/CAN FD messages and signals.
