Save/Delete Window Layouts

You can save current window layouts to a file and delete saved layouts.

Preset Layouts​

Default window layouts are automatically switched at the following timings.

Layout Name	Switch Timing	Displayed Windows
Setting Layout	Immediately after GUI startup	Device Window, Trigger Window, Display Filter Window, Label Filter Window
Monitoring Layout	During monitoring	Monitor Window, Each ID Window
Analyze Layout	After monitoring stops	Analyze Window

A layout suitable for settings required before monitoring.

A layout suitable while monitoring is running.

Analyze Layout​

A layout suitable for log analysis.

Save a Window Layout​

You can save any window arrangement.

1. Arrange windows
   Arrange windows as desired.

2. Open the save dialog
   Perform either of the following. The Save Current Layout dialog appears.

• Select Window - Layout - Save Current Layout from the menu bar.

• Click the button on the toolbar.

3. Enter a layout name
   In Name of current layout, enter the layout name.
   You can also select an existing layout name from the pull-down list.

4. Save the layout
   Click in the Save Current Layout dialog. The layout from step 1 is saved with the name entered in step 3.

Switch Window Layout​

Select a layout from the Layout pull-down menu on the toolbar. The displayed windows switch to the selected layout.

Delete Window Layout​

Delete a Saved Layout​

You can delete layouts saved in Save a Window Layout.

1. Open the delete dialog
   Select Window - Layout - Delete Layout from the menu bar. The Delete Layout dialog appears.

2. Select the layout to delete
   From the list in the Delete Layout dialog, select the layout name to delete.

3. Delete the layout
   Click in the Delete Layout dialog. A confirmation dialog appears. Click Yes to delete the layout selected in step 2.

Initialize Preset Layouts​

Preset layouts in Preset Layouts can be initialized (they cannot be deleted).

1. Open the delete dialog
   Select Window - Layout - Delete Layout from the menu bar. The Delete Layout dialog appears.

2. Initialize the layout
   In the list of layout names in the Delete Layout dialog, click for the layout you want to initialize. A confirmation dialog appears. Click Yes to initialize the layout.
