Frame period analysis function

The frame period analysis function measures the frame period of the specified CAN ID from the log displayed in the "Analyze Window".
You can perform the following frame period analysis:

  • Maximum frame transmission interval
  • Minimum frame transmission interval
  • Average frame transmission interval

The frame period analysis function (Frame Analyze) can only be used in the Ch Log tab of the Analyze Window.

ItemDescription
CAN Frame ListDisplays the CAN ID list to be analyzed. You can enable/disable analysis by checking/unchecking the checkbox.
Frame InformationRegister the CAN ID to be analyzed.
CAN / CAN-FDSelect CAN/CAN FD frame type.
Std. / Ext.Select Standard ID (Std.) / Extended ID (Ext.).
CAN ID input fieldEnter the CAN ID (Hex).
Plus buttonRegister the CAN ID set in Frame Information to the CAN Frame List. A maximum of 64 CAN IDs can be registered.
Refresh buttonUpdate the CAN ID selected in CAN Frame List to the CAN ID set in Frame Information.
Trash buttonDelete the CAN ID selected in the CAN Frame List.
Frame Cycle Analyze buttonExecutes frame cycle analysis of the CAN ID to be analyzed in the CAN Frame List and displays analysis results.
Clear buttonDeletes all CAN IDs to be analyzed from the CAN Frame List.

Frame Analyze setting procedure

  1. Open Frame Analyze tab
    Select the Frame Analyze tab in the Ch Log view.

  1. Set CAN ID to be analyzed
    Set CAN ID information in Frame Information.
    The configured CAN ID is registered to CAN Frame List by clicking Plus button.

  1. Perform frame period analysis
    Click Frame Cycle Analyze to open the Analyze Result window and display frame period analysis results.

When you perform frame period analysis, results are shown in Analyze Result.
