Log Search

The Log Search tab in the Analyze window lets you jump to specific frames by time, frame pattern, or label.

  1. Time Search

    • Use the ± buttons and the Time button to set an absolute or relative timestamp.
    • Click Search to jump to the frame closest to that time.
  2. Log Search

    • Click Edit to open the Log Search dialog and define frame criteria (ID, channel, direction, data bytes, etc.).
    • Use the left/right page buttons if multiple conditions are stored.
    • Click Backward or Forward to move to the previous or next match.
  3. Label Search

    • Choose a label from the drop-down list (labels must be defined in the Label Filter window).
    • Click Backward or Forward to navigate between frames that match the label.

Usage Scenarios

  • Jump to a known timestamp to correlate events with external logs.
  • Search for the next occurrence of a specific frame pattern (for example, CAN ID + payload) while reviewing merged logs.
  • Quickly navigate between diagnostic labels added during monitoring.
