The warning statements in this guide use the following categories.

Meaning of warning labels

MandatoryWhen handling cables, follow these precautions to avoid electric shock, fire, burns, or damage:

• Do not pull, bend, or twist cables excessively

WarningDepending on the environment, the surface of the product may become hot during operation. This is not a malfunction, but avoid prolonged direct contact to prevent low-temperature burns.

Precautions for Use

Handling the product

  • Do not turn off the power while the product is operating. Doing so may cause a malfunction.
  • Use the product only within a temperature range of 0–40 °C and relative humidity of 80% or less (non-condensing).
  • Do not use the product in locations exposed to water or moisture.
  • Do not use the product in dusty environments.
  • Do not use the product in locations where corrosive gases are present.
  • Do not use the product in direct sunlight.
  • Do not use the product near equipment that generates electrical noise.
  • Do not use the product in locations subject to severe mechanical shock or continuous vibration.
  • Do not use the product in any environment unsuitable for precision electronic equipment.

Storage

Storing the product

  • If the product will not be used for an extended period, place it in the original shipping carton and store it in a location with an ambient temperature of –10–40 °C and relative humidity of 80% or less (non-condensing), away from direct sunlight.

Disposal

Disposing of the product

  • Dispose of the product as industrial waste in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Transportation

Transporting the product

  • When transporting the product, use the original shipping carton and adequate cushioning material. Inadequate packaging may cause damage during transport.

Cleaning

Cleaning the product

  • If the product becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth. Do not use organic solvents (such as benzene) that may damage the product.
