Periodic Transmission

Use MicroPeckerX InstaGW to send periodic frames. Periodic transmission can be combined with protocol gateway features.

Use case 3

In this example, MicroPeckerX InstaGW transmits CAN ID 100 on Ch1 and CAN ID 200 on Ch2. The following sections show sample entries in the gateway setting file.

  • Configure the arbitration and data-phase baud rates for each channel. In this example, Ch1 uses CAN FD and Ch2 uses CAN.
  • When using immediate gateway, the Immediate GW Protocol defines the protocol of each channel. In this example, Ch1 is CAN FD and Ch2 is CAN.

Use case 3 Periodic Frame
  • Configure the CAN ID, protocol, DLC, transmission cycle, offset, and frame data for each periodic transmission. The minimum cycle resolution is 1 ms.
  • Specify the destination channel for each CAN ID.
  • You can configure up to 32 CAN IDs in total across Ch1 and Ch2.
