Limitations

Keep the following limitations in mind when using this plug-in.

  • FV, MAC, and payload bit positions must be continuous.

    • Configure the Truncated FV Position, Truncated MAC Position, and CAN/CAN-FD Payload [Truncated] positions on the Ch Setting tab so they do not overlap and occupy continuous ranges.
    • Example: MAC = bits 32–63, FV = bits 24–31, Payload = bits 0–23.
  • Payload values can only be configured statically.

    • You cannot select a “generation method” like FV or MAC.
    • Set the values directly in the Data Setting dialog. There is no mechanism to change them dynamically at runtime.
  • Bit alignment and byte endianness are fixed.

    • In the Element Setting dialog, Bit Alignment is fixed to Right and Byte Endian is fixed to Big; they cannot be changed.
  • The number of CAN IDs configured for authenticated periodic transmission is limited.

    • Up to 10 IDs per channel and 64 IDs total across all channels.
  • Periodic transmission intervals have a minimum value.

    • The minimum interval is n × 1 ms, where n is the total number of authenticated CAN IDs configured across both channels in the same MicroPeckerX unit. For example, if two IDs are configured on Ch1 and three on Ch2, the minimum interval is 5 ms.
    • Even if you specify a shorter value for Cycle on the ID Setting tab, the actual transmission interval will automatically adjust to meet or exceed the minimum. It will not transmit faster than the minimum value.
  • Unsupported features The following features are not supported:

    • Retransmission (automatic resend on failure)
    • Spoofed transmission (intentional sending with another node ID)
    • Log playback
