Restrictions
Please note the following restrictions when using this plugin.
-
FV, MAC, and payload bit positions must be configured consecutively.
PositioninTruncated FV Position,Truncated MAC Position, andCAN/CAN-FD Payload [Truncated]on theCh Settingtab ofSecurity Settingmust not overlap and must be contiguous. Example: MAC = bits 32 to 63, FV = bits 24 to 31, Payload = bits 0 to 23. -
Payload values support only static configuration. You cannot choose a generation method like FV or MAC. Set values directly in the
Data Settingdialog. Dynamic runtime changes are not supported. -
Bit alignment and byte endian are fixed. In the
Element Settingdialog,Bit Alignmentis fixed toRight, andByte Endianis fixed toBig. -
There is an upper limit for cyclic transmit messages with CAN ID message authentication. Up to 10 entries per channel and up to 64 entries total across all channels.
-
There is a lower limit for cyclic transmission period. The minimum cycle of cyclic transmit messages is
n x 1 ms, wherenis the total number of authenticated CAN IDs configured across the two channels in the same MicroPeckerX. Example: if Ch1 has 2 entries and Ch2 has 3 entries, the minimum cycle is 5 ms. Even ifCycleon theID Settingtab ofSecurity Settingis set below this minimum, the actual cycle is automatically adjusted to at leastn x 1 ms. -
Unsupported features
- Retry transmission on send failure
- Spoofed transmission using another node ID
- Log replay
